Lets understand what is AIC-SMU: AIC-SMU Technology Business Incubation Foundation (AIC-SMUTBI), established in September 2018 under the Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog, is the first Atal Incubation Centre in North-East India. Located at Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology along the Teesta River, it supports early-stage startups through mentorship, infrastructure, and seed funding. In line with the Government of India’s Make in India and Start-up India initiatives, AIC-SMUTBI has nurtured over 100 start-ups with programs like the Wadhwani VFT, SAPNE, and XR Start-up Program.
